Supermacro with Canon 350D set lens 18-55

Pictures with macro lens are always quite impressive. But as I am not a professional I am not interessted in buying an extra macro lens. So, I searched the web and I found a good tutorial how to use the set lens as a macrolens on the website www.traumflieger.de.

The solution is quite simple. Just unmount the set lens, turn it by 180 degrees so that the front points to the camera. Thats all.

To make an easy to handle solution just glue the camera cap and a lens cap together and drill a hole in the middle.

Now you can easily mount the lens back to front.

As there is no more a electric connection, the camera can not use the autofocus and the lens aperture (I hope this is the correct translation for the German word "BLENDE").

To set the lens aperture just mount the lens correct to the camera, use the AV program, make your setting and press the button below the lens release button to preview the lens aperture. While holding this button unmount the lens - the setting of the lens aperture will stay.

The pictures below where all made with open lens aperture.
